It was Srimad Indirakant Tirtha who convinced Srimad Sukratindra Tirtha to adopt a Shishya swamiji for continuing the legacy of Kashi Math, when Srimad Sukratindra had decided to put a full stop to the parampara. This was because of the severe challenges they had faced due to the changing times, which had caused a number of cases where educated people had challenged Srimad Sukratindra's ordinances in the court.
Kashi Math followers should always be grateful to the help of Srimad Indirakant Swamiji, which was in a way responsible for us getting Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha as a Sadguru.

Gokarn Partagali Mathadhish Guru Swami Shreemad Indirakant Tirth Shreepad Wader, Shishya Swami Shreemad Kamalanath Tirth Shreepad Wader and Kashi Mathadhish Shreemad Sukratindra Tirth at Shree Damodar Vidya Bhavan, Madgao
Set 2 - Basrur, Karnataka
During 1939 Swamijis of two important Maths - Sri Gokarna Math and Sri Kashi Math - had camped at same time in Basrur. They were Srimad Indirakanta Tirtha (Along with his Patta shishya Srimad Kamalanatha Tirtha) and Srimad Sukrtindra Tirtha. Sri. H.L. Kamath organized a public meeting attended by devotees from distant places in South and North Canara districts as well as Goa. It was held at Gokarna Math in Basrur and was addressed by the Swamijis of both Maths.
Set 3 - Udupi, Karnataka
Around the same time, there was a meeting with some of the Astha Matha Swamijis in Udupi.
